Although
the driveway is shared, Bugley House Cottage is detached from the main
house and affords privacy to its guests. It offers accommodation to a
very high specification, decorated with taste, comfortably furnished
and with a very well equipped kitchen.
Ground floor: entrance porch. Spacious living room comprising a dining
area and a sitting area (2 steps above) with an open fireplace
containing a woodburning stove. Fitted kitchen with a Britannia
Rangemaster cooker inc. halogen hob and rotisserie; small breakfast
table. 1st floor: 2 bedrooms - one twin, which can be made up as a king
size double and further twin bedroom with access to the games room.
Bathroom/wc with shower attachment to the bath.
Garden area to the side of the cottage. Barbecue.

Situated
in the extensive grounds of an imposing country house, deep in the
North Dorset countryside, Bugley House Cottage offers peace and
tranquillity in a lovely setting. There are long views down and across
fields to a lake at the bottom and to the adjoining woodland, the ideal
spot for an evening stroll. Visitors will also have the use of a heated, outdoor swimming pool (shared with the owners) during the summer months and children will enjoy the very spacious games room, which houses a table tennis table and pool/snooker table as well as darts.
Other activities in the area include local riding stables, half a mile
away, a sports & leisure centre in Shaftesbury (10 minutes' drive)
and golf at Rushmore Park in the Cranborne Chase. The area has a number
of local tourist attractions within easy driving distance - Stourhead
House and Gardens (N.T), Longleat, Bath, Salisbury and Sherborne to
name but a few - while the South Dorset World Heritage coastline is
reachable in about an hour. The small town of Gillingham, 3 miles away,
has a main line train station to London Waterloo and provides for all
local shopping needs including a Waitrose supermarket. There are also
several good pubs in the area. |
